Wyoming

7th hour of continuous driving. There is just nothing here. Including cell phone towers.  Not so good when you are relying on Google maps. I sound like a dope, but when I tried to order a AAA Triptik, I was sent to a website with the AAA app. Dad,  how did you do it when I was a kid. ..did you buy maps of every state,  or did you rely only on the big roads?  At least the speed limit is 80, so we can go nowhere fast.

  1. Yes, you needed a map. You needed to always know the name of the next town ahead. And, if you were driving with me, you needed to have a low tolerance for turning around and re-tracing the last hundred miles or so when you discovered that you had unknowingly turned right and were driving north instead of west.
